Planetary Info

Alcor is a rare type of world that has both an atmosphere and orbits a variable star. As a result the world is very mountainous and geologically active. Many mining companies landed on the world to exploit the easily-accessible mineral resources stored in the planet's crust. Though these are productive enterprises, the little arable land on the world lacks specific trace elements that are required for human health. As a result, the Alcorans have become reliant on trading ships that bring the produce from other worlds. This constant need for trade has made Alcor something of a trading hub despite its out-of-the-way location.
