The Cylene' system was home to at least one habitable world, Cylene II, and as at 3145 was located in the Ashio Prefecture of the Dieron Military District within the Draconis Combine.[2][3]

Cylene has been steadily moving into an ice age since its discovery by humans, and is becoming increasingly inimical to human life as a consequence; by the thirty-second century the temperature at the equator was near-freezing.[1]
