The Venaria system was home to at least one habitable world and as of 3145 was located in the Buena Province of the Lyran Commonwealth.[1][2]

The Venaria system is located near the Chiavenna and Rapla systems.[1][2] The planet is traditionally the capital of the Venaria Operational Area within the Periphery March of the Lyran Commonwealth.

Planetary History[edit]
Star League[edit]
During the final years of the Star League, Venaria was the host to a Star League Defense Force garrison.[32]
Elements of the 211th Jump Infantry Division were stranded here for a while after their JumpShip sprung a helium leak. The unit was moving from their former posting in the Rim Worlds Republic after the "Birthday Proclamations" of 2755.[33]
Pre-Clan Invasion[edit]
Hansen's Roughriders were on Venaria on a pirate-hunting campaign soon after the conclusion of the War of 3039.[34], possibly June of 3044, though this date is apocryphal.[35]
Dark Age[edit]
At mid-3142, Halsten's Brigade was under contract to the planetary government of Venaria. An unknown small force of unmarked 'Mechs and battle armor attacked a militia outpost in the Candrell badlands. The militia was destroyed and the outpost razzed, but a lance from the Halsten's Brigade intercepted and destroyed them afterwards.[36]
