Lockheed-CBM Corporation is the largest manufacturer of aerospace fighters in the Lyran Commonwealth/Lyran Alliance.

Corporation History
Formation
Originally two separate companies, the Lockheed Corporation of Gibbs and CBM aerospace of Donegal, the pair established an alliance in 2487 to build the original Thunderbird for the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces and eventually merged. The corporation has been compared to Defiance Industries in sheer production of aerospace, conventional and other types of airborne craft.[1]
Fourth Succession War
The Corporation suffered from scandal in mid-3020s, when Commonwealth government charged the corporation's board members with corruption. Several of its members were imprisoned, including then-CEO Duke Alan Day. In the aftermath, the minor board member Rachael Haranshire was promoted to CEO of the company. Haranshire instituted reforms that swept away numerous instances of corruption that had been missed by the Steiner courts.[1]
Grateful for these acts, then-Archon Katrina Steiner rewarded Haranshire with former Duke Day's title and duchy.[2]
Civil War
In 3060, Lockheed-CBM was selected to produce a homegrown OmniFighter in partnership with the LAAF. The project would go on to produce the wildly successful Eisensturm, which would debut in a fixed configuration in 3062 before the Omni version began flying the following year. Much of the cost of the project was borne by Lockheed, rather than the Lyran government, as the company hoped to reap the profits of selling the fighter on the open market. It was an immediate success.[3]
Jihad
Lockheed-CBM's Tharkad plant was seriously damaged during the Blakist assault on that planet. All three production lines were seriously damaged when the Word forces were kicked off Tharkad. In 3077, it was unclear if the Hellcat and lightning production lines would be repaired or if production of those models would cease to make way for a new design,[4] and by 3079 the plant was still only operating at 35% having taken substantial damage.[5] The Lockheed-CBM plant on Donegal was also a casualty of the Jihad, with their military production destroyed in a Blakist nuclear raid, and as of 3081 there was still no sign of the factory being rebuilt.[6] in contrast with the damage inflicted on the Lockheed-CBM operations on Donegal and Tharkad, the Furillo plant, like the world as a whole, avoided serious damage from Blakist attacks. Production still dropped, however, but only because the company's customers were unable to accept or provide shipments due to the disruption of the Jihad.[7] The Gibbs plant also escaped damage, and was operating at full capacity during the closing years of the Jihad.[5] The heavy damage to these lines and the prior success of the Eisensturm led Lockheed to produce the Morgenstern to replace the older airframes.[8]
Dark Age
Lockheed-CBM's Tharkad lines were again badly damaged when Clan Wolf attacked the Lyran capitol world. In 3145, only the Eisensturm line was still operational, while all other lines were offline for repairs.[9]
Leadership
The company's CEO in 3025 was Alan Day.[1]
In 3067 the company's CEO is Duke Maximillian Haranshire.[2]

Note: These production lines were seriously damaged during the Jihad. The Eisensturm returned to production, but as of 3077 the fate of the Hellcat and lightning production lines wasn't clear.[4] As of 3085 it appears that Lockheed/CBM will shut down the Hellcat and lightning lines to focus on Morgenstern production.[26]
