Sparely populated but beautiful world, which is has a low population due to riggers of the planet. Its population behavior has been described as being .

Planetary History

Early History

Early colonization efforts by original settlers of Deia had incredibly tough. Most of its original settling colonist had been wiped out by unspecified harships, leaving few hardy survivors inherting the planet.

In later eras to come, the planet spared onslaught of centuries of warfare and never was site of a major conflict.

Red Corsair Raid

When the Clans had assaulted the Inner Sphere in 3050, changing once peaceful interior of Lyran state of the Federated Commonwealth into a battlefield. The invasion forces drew closer to Deia and became site of major military units. However the planet's new frontline garrison forces had been withdrawn by 3052, when the Treaty of Tukayyid was signed.[1]

In June 3055, the planet was struck by Red Corsair pirate band. Fighting outside of Burton’s Redoubt, The planet's defending militia and its mercenary defenders, Zimmer’s Zouaves, were savaged in course of the battle were forced to withdraw to defensive positions. In Deia's Militia command had notified the embattled forces that Clan Wolf's Thirty-first Wolf Solahma Cluster had sent to help fight off the Corsair's raid. However, the Wolves landed on top of the Deia defenders and in the confusion of the battle ended in the destruction defenders at the hand of the Wolves while the Corsairs escape unscarred. The Jihad

Clan Jade Falcon attempted to conquer a number of Lyran Alliance worlds during the Jihad, and Deia was one of their targets, attacked during the first two weeks of July 3069. The defenders on Deia held out against the Jade Falcon forces for several weeks, but Deia was finally conquered by the Falcons on the 15th of August.[13]
