System History

The Desolate Plains system was either colonised by the Taurian Concordat at some point during or shortly before the Age of War or was an already-inhabited system that became significant enough during this era for Inner Sphere nations to begin recording its location on maps.[3][4][5] Desolate Plains vanished from maps during the First Succession War,[4][6] indicating that the system had been abandoned, depopulated or rendered too insignificant to merit further recording.
