System Description

The Marlowe's Rift system neighbored the Gandy's Luck and Wapakoneta system Spinward of Terra.[1][2] The Marlowe's Rift system also sits next to a bubble of interstellar dust and gas also named Marlowe's Rift.[3]

System History

The Marlowe's Rift system was colonized sometime prior to 2319.[1]

Planetary History

Age of War

The planet was originally colonized as a scientific research station.[35]

Star League

The planet's history changed with the discovery of a unique form of citrus fruit tree. The Meat Tree was found in the deep jungles of the planet's equatorial regions and has the same taste and consistency of cooked beef. Needless to say, this fruit became a massive cash crop and the planet's cities and distribution centers grew up around the groves. The wealth this crop generated attracted the interest of raiders and pirates. Thus the Star League stationed a garrison of the Star League Defense Force to protect the world.[35]

Third Succession War

In early 3025, the Federated Suns attacked Marlowe's Rift.[36]

Dark Ages

In 3139, Wolf's Dragoons, in service to the Draconis Combine, attacked Marlowe's Rift.[37]
