In 3067, the Silent Reapers carried out a successful raid on a Laurieston chemical facility, the Guard garrison unable to stop them. The attack would later be known as the Laurieston disaster.[31]

According to the German-only novel Gejagt, the capital city used to be Samarand, but it had not been the capital anymore for more than two hundred years as if 3067. By that time, Samarand's starport was still active and was used for yearly airshows, one of the largest such events in Lyran Alliance space. Another spaceport was in Jägerstadt, 600km away (possibly the new capital).
