The Zebeneschamali system is home to at least one habitable world, Zebeneschamali I, and as of 3151 was located in the Clan Jade Falcon Occupation Zone.[2]

System Description[edit]

The Zebeneschamali system is located near the Carnwath and Glengarry systems[3][4] and consists of a class M2V primary orbited by seven worlds, the innermost of which is habitable.[1]

System History[edit]

The Zebeneschamali system was colonized during or shortly after the First Exodus from Terra.[3][4]

Zebeneschamali I—more commonly referred to simply as Zebeneschamali—is the innermost of seven planets in the Zebeneschamali system.[1]

Planetary History[edit]

Age of War[edit]

Zebeneschamali was originally settled by Terrans from the Middle Eastern region. Unlike the deserts and arid regions they knew on Terra, Zebeneschamali was a relatively cold, dim world that orbited a small red star. Despite the difference, the settlers thrived and established several colonies on Kirikahmed, the planet's main continent. A few decades later the population had grown enough to support additional colonization efforts and explorers began flying over the continent of North Arragon.[1]

On these flights the Zebeneschamalis found other human settlements that were unaffiliated with the initial colony effort. These people were refugees from Unukalhai who had evacuated that world. Thinking Zebeneschamali was uninhabited they settled on North Arragon. The two colonial groups initially fought each other but eventually leaders on both sides worked out a compromise that created joint colonization and exploration efforts.[1]

Shortly after this treaty was completed, Zebeneschamali joined the Federation of Skye, and then the Lyran Commonwealth. Today the world has two capital cities, one on each continent. Ur-Kabal is the primary spaceport and administrative center, located on Kirikahmed, while North Arragon's capital of Jakrit is the second largest city and spaceport on the world. South Arragon is the planet's other continent which is mostly uninhabited.[1]

Star League[edit]

During the final years of the Star League, Zebeneschamali hosted an SLDF base. The troops garrisoned there assisted the population during large snowfalls on the New Aragon continent.[43]

Geography[edit]

A cold, dim world illuminated by a small red primary star, Zebeneschamali has three main continents: Kirikahmed, South Arragon and North Arragon.[1]

Planetary Locations[edit]

  • Jakrit: second largest city and spaceport on the planet and capital city of the North Arragon continent.[1]
  • Ur-Kabal: the primary spaceport and administrative center on Zebeneschamali and capital city of the Kirikahmed continent.[1]
  • New Aragon: A continent.[43]
