Planetary History
Smithon was a part of the Sian Commonality of the Capellan Confederation and was one of the border worlds adjacent to the Taurian Concordat during the Star League era. Smithon is located near Umgard and Tyrlon and vanished from maps during the Second Succession War.[9][12]
The apocryphal BattleTech (Video Game) has Smithon as one of the systems of the Aurigan Coalition.
Smithon was formerly a Star League era armory and fortification, now ruled by House Karosas. The old Capellan Confederation fortresses have been converted for use as civilian habitation, and scavengers scour the planet for any remaining League LosTech.
The planets first moon Anvelt is also home to mining operations[32]
