Planetary History

Clan Invasion

In December 3051 Thun was invaded by Clan Wolf as part of the Fifth Wave of Operation Revival. Both Beta Galaxy and the Twenty-sixth Lyran Guards had faced each other earlier that month on Kobe, from which the Guards had fled to recover after being defeated. Unfortunately for the Guards, Beta Galaxy was hot on their heels, and acting CO Leftenant General Jinders Green-Davion was forced to deploy the surviving Guards to defend the city of Logan Delta against the invaders. This set-up did have the advantage that the general's reserves would be able to react swiftly to attacks, and the Guards' defensive lines held at Rewer's Regret and Jagger Bay; Jinders was also lucky to avoid Headhunter units deployed by saKhan Garth Radick. Impatient to defeat the Guards, saKhan Garth Radick personally led his Alpha Command Star in a daring low-level combat drop into Logan Delta itself, disrupting the Guards and forcing them to flee off-world.[45]

The Dark Age

When Clan Wolf abandoned their Occupation Zone in the mid-thirty-second century the other Clans nearby moved swiftly to gain new territory. Thun was one of the worlds contested during the scramble for new possessions - both Clan Jade Falcon and the Rasalhague Dominion moved to take the world, with the Eighth Falcon Velites attempting to capture Thun from the Gunzburg Eagles. Unfortunately for the Eighth, the Eagles avoided direct combat while conducting repeated air strikes until the Eighth had no choice but to retreat.[46]
