Planetary History[edit]
In 3013 the Twenty-second Skye Rangers tried to defend diamond storehouse from a raid by the Ninth Rasalhague Regulars. They were unsuccessful, and the Regulars made off with large amounts of diamonds for use in manufacturing 'Mech armor.[36][37]
According to an apocryphal source (the German BattleTech novel Duo Infernale), one planet in the Phalan system was named Hades. Settled for rich high-quality metal and oil deposits, it had been mostly abandoned as of 3061 and was impoverished. A 'Mech factory (presumably for IndustrialMechs) existed for a time but it was closed down during the Fourth Succession War because of the proximity of the Draconis Combine frontier. The derelict factory was used as headquarters for a Free Skye terrorist cell in 3061, and used to store three stolen nuclear bombs until the base was overrun by regular Lyran Alliance forces. (The bombs were spirited away by ComStar during the battle.)[35]
