System Description[edit]
Glenmora is located near the Nouveau Toulouse and Fairfield systems[4][5] and consists of a class G2V primary orbited by at least three worlds. The system lies Spinward from Terra and has a Recharge Station present at its Zenith Jump Point.[1][6][3]
System History[edit]
The Glenmora system was colonized at some time before 2319.[6]

Despite being covered by volcano fields, Glenmora's main landmass of Hades is home to seventy percent of the population. The capital city is Tronka, but in the 3020s Glenmora's baron spent most of his time on a resort island named Cape Sarah attracting business to the planet's chemical factories and precious metal mining concerns. The people of Glenmora often possess a small independent streak, but had no problem capitalizing on the opportunities the baron provided.[1]
Militarily, the world is valued by training officers: Soldiers are sent to the training areas north of Tronka to perform land-navigation exercises. Hades' terrain often changes due to volcanic activity, requiring frequent map updates, and the skies are also often overcast, which makes using celestial navigation difficult (if not impossible). The planet's militia is highly skilled in adapting to these new terrain conditions, but new arrivals often find navigation difficult.[53]
Planetary History[edit]
First Succession War[edit]
Glenmora was invaded during the first half of the major invasion into the Federated Suns launched by the Draconis Combine in May 2787.[16] Glenmora was liberated by the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns in 2814–2815 as part of the third and final major AFFS counteroffensive of the First Succession War against the Draconis Combine.[18]
Fourth Succession War[edit]
During the Fourth Succession War, Glenmora was defended by Wolf's Dragoons Alpha Regiment and the Black Widow Company with aid from the Tenth Deneb Light Cavalry. They faced the Fifth Galedon Regulars and Sixteenth Galedon Regulars during the Battle of Glenmora (3028).[54][55]
Dark Age[edit]
Wolf's Dragoons, in service to the Draconis Combine, attacked Glenmora in the Battle of Glenmora They crushed the garrison in a long campaign, but later retreated, laeving it again in the Suns' control.[56]
Military Deployment[edit]
Geography[edit]
Glenmora has one large continent, Hades, and several large islands that circle the equator.[1]
Planetary Locations[edit]
- Cape Sarah: a resort island along the equator; location of the Grand Cape Sarah Regatta, a yearly sailing event[1]
- Carson: an island along the equator that has a rare-metal mining operation on the nearby seabed[1]
- Davison: an island along the equator that has a rare-metal mining operation on the nearby seabed[1]
- Hades: the largest continent on Hades, strewn with volcanoes and lava fields; most of the planet's population reside here[1]
