The Ishtar system was home to at least one habitable world, Ishtar IV, and as of 3145 was located in the Taurian Concordat.[2][3]

System Description[edit]

Ishtar is located within the Hyades Cluster near the Samantha and Taurus systems.[2][3]

System History[edit]

The Ishtar system was colonized in 2320 and was one of the founding worlds of the Taurian Homeworlds prior to the formation of the Concordat.[4]

Ishtar IV, more commonly known simply as Ishtar, is the fourth planet in the system.[1]

Planetary History[edit]

Ishtar was settled in 2320 and was one of the earliest worlds settled within Flannagan's Nebulea.[4] Ishtar was perhaps the principal agricultural world of the Taurian Concordat. It holds the distinction of being the only undefended world in the Concordat; the planet was deliberately demilitarized in an effort to make it less attractive to raiders and pirates. As late as the end of the Third Succession War there were no ComStar facilities or any heavy industry on the planet, whose primary exports were foodstuffs and related goods. The highest technology located on Ishtar was that used to make some of the best wines in the Taurian Concordat.[1]
