Planetary History

Early History

New Hope was colonized during the twenty-second century and, along with Tania Borealis, served as the base from which Helm was discovered and settled.[2]

First Succession War

New Hope would fall under the control of the Lyran Commonwealth in 2818 as part of Operation SPIDERWEB.[9]

Jihad

Despite having been occupied by the Word of Blake during the Jihad and incorporated into the Protectorate, New Hope was free before the allied coalition forces prosecuting the Free Worlds front of Operation SCOUR arrived on the planet on the 10th of June 3077. The coalition troops arrived only to discover that the local government had already removed their Blakist rulers.[13]

Dark Age

After the formation of the Republic of the Sphere via the Republic Formation Treaty of March 15, 3081, forces from the Silver Hawk Coalition would seize New Hope. The response from the Republic was to launch a swift counter attack. Alys Rousset-Marik created several contingency plans in case of acts of aggression from her former homeland. Thus in April 3081, Operation GOLDEN DAWN was launched by Republic military forces against eight worlds, including New Hope. By the end of April, New Hope was firmly back in Republic control.[20]
