Planetary History

Clan Invasion era

Goat Path was conquered in August 3050 by Clan Jade Falcon during Operation REVIVAL's fourth wave. Learning that the planetary government allegedly cooperated with an organized crime syndicate run by a family named Malthus, Falcon warriors bearing the Malthus Bloodname declared their intention to raze the planet if any connection was found between them. When no such ties were found, the First Falcon Striker simply landed and defeated the Goat Path Militia, receiving the planet's surrender afterwards.[19]

In May 3052, the 5th Davion Guards attempted to assault the planet, but found a front-line Trinary present on system in addition to the Provisional Garrison Cluster. They withdrew after taking heavy losses, with the Second Battalion covering their withdrawal. Four weeks later, Leftenant Nicole Devereaux successfully bid for a Trial of Possession for use of the HPG to secure evacuation for herself, as well as Clan upgrades to her Lancelot.[37]

In June 3052 Clan Steel Viper responded to Jade Falcon attacks on its merchant shipping by sending the Viper Fusiliers and 126th Striker Cluster to claim Goat Path. Despite the Falcon defenders nearly driving the invaders off at one point, the Vipers successfully took the planet in the end.[20]

During the Hegira War of 3061 Goat Path was one of the Viper worlds targeted during the Jade Falcons' counterattack in June and July that year, falling back under Jade Falcon rule when the conflict ended.[38]
