First Exodus[edit]

As Federated Suns troops contested numerous worlds along the spinward border of the newly-formed Capellan Confederation in 2367, troops from the Free Worlds League were deployed to take possession of the worlds of Berenson and Zion. These attacks proved to be just the beginning—over the next few years the Free Worlds League attacked additional water-rich worlds, including Hassad. Initially, Chancellor Franco Liao was forced to trade worlds for time as he unified the various disparate Capellan Zone nations into the Capellan Confederation; despite this, the Confederation contested the League occupations and Hassad would change hands numerous times over the next decade.[3]

Age of War[edit]

In 2531, New Delos played host to negotiations between Captain-General Albert Marik of the Free Worlds League and Chancellor Mica Liao of the Capellan Confederation. The negotiations were instigated by Director-General Ian Cameron of the Terran Hegemony and aimed to find a peaceful resolution to the Second Andurien War, which had been raging for three years. Much to the surprise of many, a peaceful settlement was actually reached after some weeks of negotiation; a number of border resolutions were drawn up, demarcating borders clearly that had been disputed for years, and settlements were reached over a number of long-running problems. The Capellan Confederation agreed to pay an indemnity to the Free Worlds League for launching the invasion, with both sides affirming that the worlds of Andurien and Hassad were Free Worlds League property.[4]

Second Succession War[edit]

In 2851, Hassad was struck by a series of earthquakes and tidal waves. The natural disasters caused casualties numbering in the hundreds of thousands, as well as reducing Ajnanabal, a spaceport city, to rubble.[36]

Third Succession War[edit]

In 2925, the Battle of Hassad occurred between Capellan and Free Worlds League forces.[37]

In 3015, Capellan forces launched a large assault on Hassad. In reply, the Free Worlds League would take the world of Jasmine.[17]
