Their first attack was small and easily repulsed by Longwood's Bluecoats. However, when the mercenaries approached a bandit Scorpion BattleMech they had disabled, the bandit pilot detonated his own SRM stores thus destroying himself and the 'Mech before it could be salvaged.
The second attack had the bandits feint to the factory again only to then raid the nearby starport that had several warehouses of completed armor segments ready for shipment. The mercenary forces who had hoped to spring a trap on the bandits were now fighting for their lives. The bandits were able to break off just before the Bluecoat reinforcements arrived.
Longwood's Bluecoats immediately called for reinforcements from their Taurian employers, but those calls went unanswered. This led the group to start considering leaving the employ of the Concordat and join the Federated Suns.[54]
Raid of 3072[edit]
On 12 June 3072, the Longwood's Bluecoats were attacked by troops sporting Armed Forces of the Federated Suns colors. The mercenaries suffered heavy losses and the armor factory they were defending was completely plundered of materials.[55][56]
After the end of the Jihad, Taurus Territorial Industries built a factory on Jansen's Hold as part of the Concordat's military production recovery efforts. The manufacturing plant built primitive tech level Griffins and Phoenixes.[57]
