Planetary History
Succession Wars
Originally a planet of the Terran Hegemony, Tigress was claimed by the Capellan Confederation after the collapse of the First Star League. It became the personal fiefdom of the Liao Family due to its highly industrialized economy and well educated populace. House Liao transferred the Lordship of Tigress to the Laurel Family as a reward for military service after the Third Succession War. Also known thereafter as Laurel's World, the planet fell to the Federated Suns during the Fourth Succession War after Laurel's Legion switched sides.[10]
Jihad
During the Jihad the Word of Blake incorporatedmTigress into their Protectorate. The allied coalition assembled by Devlin Stone assaulted Tigress on the 21st of May 3077 only for the Delta Galaxy of Clan Nova Cat to take heavy casualties when a series of dirty nukes were detonated along a major transportation hub and in a number of surrounding cities. The nuclear attacks inflicted heavy casualties on the Tigress Protectorate Militia as well, and were eventually determined to have been orchestrated by Capellan guerillas rather than the Blakists, who had been the initial suspects.[6]
Republic of the Sphere
The Laurel family has once again returned to power. Under Stone's banner, Tigress‘s industry has focused on products like civilian helicopters and exoskeleton suits to take advantage of its remaining power plants. Tigress also became a commercial hub of Prefecture IV, responsible for much of the trade, scientific research, and higher education in the Prefecture.[10]
