This category contains novels set in the BattleTech universe and published in print or electronic (EPUB) format.

Novels are typically standalone products, although they may be serialized. For the purpose of this category and in line with the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, a piece of narrative fiction is generally considered a "novel" if it has more than 40,000 words.

By contrast, BattleCorps defined BattleTech "short fiction" as fiction pieces of less than 40,000 words; these are summarily categorized under Category:Short Stories for the purpose of this BattleTechWiki.
(A story is generally held to be a "short story" if it has up to ca. 7,500 words, a "novelette" for up to ca. 17,500 words, and a "novella" if it has between ca. 17,500 and 40,000 words; see also: Word count).

Some BattleTech stories may arbitrarily be categorized as both a short story and a novel at once.

For a rundown of published print novels, see List of BattleTech print novels.
