Political Affiliation[edit]

Planetary History[edit]

Second Try was colonized during the Star League era at some point prior to 2750.[6]

Second Succession War[edit]

In 2846 Second Try was raided by the Free Worlds League Military as part of the League's "La Reconquista" campaign following the ComStar War.[40]

Fourth Succession War[edit]

When Second Try was attacked by the Twentieth Avalon Hussars during Operation RAT's Fourth Wave, its few militia regiments were easily defeated in open combat. However the Hussars were forced to hunt down the enemy through the planet's frozen terrain, delaying Second Try's final conquest by two months.[41]

Operation Guerrero[edit]

After a generation under Federated Commonwealth rule, Second Try was reclaimed by the Confederation during Operation GUERRERO in 3057.[27]

The Jihad[edit]

A raiding party consisting of forces from both Andurien and Zion struck at Second Try during the second week of November 3069.[42]

Dark Age[edit]

During the Capellan Crusades Second Try was among the CCAF's targets in Operation DIVINE RIGHT's first wave, and the only one not secured outright by the end of 3111. Late in assaulting the planet, the Sixth CRC was forced to besiege the Fifth Principes Guards which delayed their conquest of the planet until early 3112. After the Sarna Armistice, Second Try returned to Republic control.[43][44]

Following the Blackout of 3132, Second Try was reclaimed by the Capellan Confederation during Operation GREAT FLOOD.[37]
