Judging by the pedigree of mechs in the below list, (King Crab, Atlas I & II) it's reasonable to assume that this engine was the premier heavy/assault engine at the waning years of the Star League.  SLDF royal guard mechs would not skimp on cost and this engine would be highly coveted and costly during the succession wars.
