This category is for Sourcebooks for BattleTech, Alpha Strike, or other related games (such as BattleForce). A sourcebook provides detailed historical, cultural, and organizational context regarding certain regions and/or eras of the BattleTech Universe in order to directly support independent scenario or campaign creation for BattleTech, Alpha Strike, or other related games.

Note: For comparison, Technical Readouts and Recognition Guides primarily provide details on specific in-universe units and Scenario Packs focus on supplying game scenarios/campaigns for immediate game play, but sourcebooks focus on detailing in-universe context to support the independent creation of scenarios/campaigns. Sourcebooks are also contrasted from fiction works. While the latter may develop or expand in-universe context, such are not principally intended to directly support gameplay.
